Prohibited Products Policy

1. Overview

XenoStep acts as reseller and Merchant of Record for approved products. Products with high consumer harm, deception, regulatory, payment network, or FTC enforcement risk are not permitted. XenoStep may reject, suspend, remove, or terminate any product or Supplier if XenoStep determines the product creates unacceptable risk.

This policy applies even if a product or service is legal in the Supplier's home jurisdiction. XenoStep may apply stricter rules than local law, payment processors, card networks, or app marketplaces require.

2. Prohibited Categories

1. Gambling and Gaming: Online gambling, sports betting, lottery products, casino games, gambling instruction tied to betting activity, or systems designed to improve gambling outcomes.
2. Adult Content: Pornography, adult entertainment, escort services, sexually explicit live content, or products primarily designed for sexual services.
3. Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets: Crypto exchanges, initial coin offerings, NFT marketplaces, DeFi protocols, token sales, staking products, custodial crypto products, or digital asset investment products.
4. Weapons and Firearms: Firearms, ammunition, weapon modifications, explosives, explosive precursors, weapon accessories, or instructions for producing weapons.
5. Tobacco, Alcohol, and Controlled Substances: Tobacco products, alcohol, cannabis even where legal, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, or prescription drugs supplied without a valid prescription.
6. Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices: Prescription medications, unapproved medical devices, medical treatments without required authorization, supplements with unsubstantiated claims, or products claiming to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease without proper approval.
7. Financial Services: Money lending, investment advice, insurance products, forex trading, brokerage services, securities products, credit products, or regulated financial products.
8. Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Schemes: MLM programs, pyramid schemes, chain letters, recruitment-based income systems, or compensation plans primarily funded by participant recruitment.
9. Counterfeit and Infringing Goods: Counterfeit products, pirated software, unauthorized license keys, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, or goods that misrepresent brand affiliation.
10. Illegal Services: Hacking tools, surveillance software, credential theft tools, evasion services, services that enable unauthorized access, or services that help users commit illegal activity.
11. High-Risk Financial Products: Payday loans, debt collection, credit repair, debt settlement, high-cost credit products, or products promising guaranteed financial outcomes.

3. Consequences

If XenoStep determines that a Supplier offers or attempts to offer a prohibited product, XenoStep may immediately suspend product availability, stop new sales, terminate the Supplier relationship, hold payable amounts, apply setoff, or retain reserves to cover refunds, chargebacks, penalties, investigation costs, or customer transition costs.

These remedies may apply without advance notice when delay could increase legal, payment, customer, or sanctions risk.

4. Appeals Process

A Supplier may submit a written appeal within ten (10) business days after receiving a rejection, suspension, or termination notice. The appeal must include product details, marketing materials, legal basis for sale, customer support processes, refund terms, and any requested compliance changes.

XenoStep will review the appeal in good faith but has final discretion to decide whether a product or Supplier may proceed.

5. Controlling Language

This Policy is prepared in English. A Korean translation may be provided for reference convenience only. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and any translation, the English version controls in all respects.
